October - Pastor Appreciation Month

I just discovered that this October is Pastor appreciation month. It is the month to acknowledge and appreciate the pastors in our lives. I have been blessed to have some awesome people in my life, so here's me celebrating them.

Pastor H Lee Joyner

Although chronologically I havent known this man for a while, he's been very instrumental in pushing me into my destiny and purpose. I had come to a place of feeling burned out and worn out, and getting really tired of the routine of just doing things. And I found a friend in him to push me, hold me accountable, and celebrate the gift of God in me. It is a secure and comforting feeling to know I can always reach out to my covering, and he is always there for me. Always has my back! I appreciate you!

Bishop Victor Patterson
Hahaha! What can I say? This man has been a father, friend, accountability person, brother, and debate partner. Lol! Lord, we have had moments of breaking the word and going at it! But I will always appreciate you for your embrace and the honor you give me. Thank you sir.

Bishop Johnny Charles Carrington

Ha! My bishop!! I dont think I have someone who champions me as much as this man. He always believes in me, sometimes when I dont even believe in myself. If I need a little pick me up, all I gotta do is reach out to him, and I get jolted up. And I love how we can have non-politically correct conversations. Thank you for always being in my corner, and being a voice of wisdom and counsel and confidence to me. I appreciate you much.

Pastor Osene
Hmm, do I even have the words to express who this woman is to me? I think the best way is, as a young man you look up to and celebrate someone from afar, and then God gives you the honor to not only serve with the person, but you get to call the person a friend and confidant. Oh, and to meet someone who is passionate about prayer! Thank you for being in my life. You have no idea who you are to me. Your gift has touched my life, and you have inspired and motivated me more than you will ever know. I appreciate you for life! lol

Donald Wright
Where do I start? We've had lots of arguments and debates (hahaha) but this man has been there in some of the darkest valleys I went through. He understands pain and human frailty like no other, and as a result speaks from a place that very few pastors dare allow themselves to speak from. I appreciate your friendship, the 2 hours (or more) phone calls we have, the debates, and of course, the empathy. I appreciate and support you much!

I appreciate you all and celebrate you this month of October
