Absolute Truth

Pastors should be secure enough to discuss scriptures to learn the truth, not win arguments. Too many pastors see such a discussion as a time to win a theological debate rather than see someone else's viewpoint.
Do we really think that the way one person interpretes and understands scripture, based on how his mind receives and processes data information due to his culture, his conditioning growing up, as well as experiences and personal theology - suddenly makes that person's views the absolute truth of the bible? Our views are all subjective even when we behold absolute truth.
"9" looks like "6" depending on where it is viewed from. One argues it is nine, and the other says it is six. They are both right yet wrong. And yet somehow we expect to condense the infinite truth of God into our finite subjective outlook and make absolute statements of truth? This is the inherent flaw of religious truth among subjective humans - when we refuse to admit that our conception of truth in being absolute, has to have allowance for the improbable because we are finite beings trying to download the absolute truth of an infinite God. There is only so much the constructs of our ability to process, understand and believe can take; and God has to work within that limitation in each person.
