Welcome to 2020

Welcome to 2020

“20/20 vision is a term used to express normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. ... If you have 20/100 vision, it means that you must be as close as 20 feet to see what a person with normal vision can see at 100 feet - American Optometric Association

It basically means you have perfect vision, that you have clarity of vision.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keeps the law, happy is he” Proverbs 29:18

Vision (Chazon in Hebrew): Oracle, Prophecy, Divine communication
Perish (Para): To let go, let loose, ignore, to show lack of restraint
Keep (Shamar): Retain, Observe, Celebrate
Law (Torah): Prophetic teaching of God, direction, Instruction.
Happy (Esher): Being blessed. Blessed means being endowed with favor, experiencing goodness.
With these transliterations in mind, a paraphrase of the above scripture would be:

“Where there is no prophecy and divine communication from God, the people will live lives with no restraint, they will let loose and ignore any warnings. But the man who observes the prophetic teaching of God, and celebrates the instruction and direction from God will experience the favor and goodness of God”

For 2020, this is a year to receive and see with clarity the vision of God for your life. And the point of seeing the vision of God for your life is so you live it out. As you live out the vision of God for you, you will experience His favor and goodness. And for those who refuse to commit to receiving the vision of God for their lives, they will live in reckless abandon with no form of restraint or boundaries. It will seem like fun and freedom, but in the end it will be their demise from experiencing the blessing of God.
