Video for "Celebrate" (Whitney Houston's song from her last movie "Sparkle")

I have been a Whitney Houston fan, caught up by the beauty of the gift of God on her life. And yes, I am anticipating this movie of hers. The first time I heard the leak of this song "Celebrate" online, I was appalled by how bland it was, and I admit I was completely disappointed.
But hearing the finished work now, and seeing the video, I have to admit I'm liking it.

Sparkle - Official Trailer 2012

I stumbled across Whitney Houston's movie trailer, which was co-produced by TD Jakes. Such a pity that her comeback was derailed by the demons she wrestled. A lesson to always keep in mind is to recognize that any influence that attempts to interfere with living out our purpose, is a direct intrusion from hell!

Anointed yet Traumatized - Whitney Houston!

Everybody in the world is writing something about Whitney, and it mostly has been an outpouring of love. Of course there are the few crazies who enjoy demonizing folks, but that's life.

The only prayer I always had in my heart for Whitney had always been that she would address her addiction more directly. As someone whop has struggled with addiction, and I know how violating it can be, I was always saddened that her interviews never showed a 100% investment in the fight to rehab.
The anointing on her life was obvious. All you had to do was listen to her voice, and you could perceive the touch of God on her life. But like every incredibly anointed person, there is always some trauma or struggle that results in a breaking or crushing. And in that process of tribulation, their anointing is revealed. Some overcome and flourish, some struggle and press on. In any case, the gift......the anointing is still very much present.

I just praise God that at least Whitney is finally in His presence, free from the drama and trauma of this realm. And more importantly, free from the damages to her voice. Now she can SING to his glory, with that voice!

Whitney Houston is BACK!!

Once again, Whitney Houston is making a comeback, not only executive producing the 80's movie "Sparkle", but actually co-starring in it with American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks. And yes, it involves singing.

When I listen to "Preacher's Wife" soundtrack, and I hear her voice sailing in praise to Jehovah God, I marvel at how anointed and gifted she is, and how the devil tried to derail her. The devil is a liar! I am glad she has forging ahead, and I pray she focuses on her relationship with Jesus to be her strong foundation. He is the solid rock on which we stand, the rock of our salvation. Hallelujah!
