The Covenant is now an Audiobook

It is official! The Covenant is now available as an audiobook! With narration by Don Kline, it is available to download at Audible, iTunes and Amazon.

The Covenant is a memoir addressing my struggles with multiple suicide attempts. It touches on my childhood molestation, abuse and rape, and the resulting aftermath of dysfunctions. It also touches on my coming through it. Being suicidal is a silent struggle that's not supposed to be talked about. Depression, and especially childhood molestation and abuse are experiences that are victimizing, and stigmatizing, so we often hide in shame with it. Hopefully as I share my story and experience, it would inspire someone to come out of that secrecy and shame, and cry out for help

Below is an excerpt from the book, talking about my travails with being molested and raped as a child, and the aftermath of it.

The Covenant is also available as Paperback and eBook on Amazon. Below is the Official Book Trailer for it

Unspeakable Indiscretions - The Movie

I remember before this movie was made, Eric Ramsey told me about it, and I thought it was ballsy to tackle this topic - the topic of molestation, and how easy it is for victim to become vampire, and continue the cycle of perpetration. This is one topic that makes us nervous and uncomfortable, and denial is the easiest way we know how to handle it.

As an Executive Producer of the film, Eric really tackled this topic head on, and even attempts to bring a solution or resolution at the end of the movie. He depicts the various faces of molestation, and how looks and appearances are deceiving.

Personally, as one who was molested and raped as a child, I am impressed that someone is tackling this topic head on, and not afraid to get his feet dirty. It stirred up memories of being naive and being susceptible, but more importantly, it reminded me of the healing I have experienced in and through Christ.

I would recommend this independent movie as a must see. The daunting task of addressing this topic with integrity, yet head on is rather impressive. Sure, those who want to be in denial of this societal issue, would dismiss it, but it takes courage to handle a sensitive and uncomfortable topic as this the way it was handled. Kudos, Eric, kudos.

Exposing or not, of a Child Molester

Okay, so the picture depicted above is one of a TSA agent frisking a child, and supposedly harmless. It represents perfectly the seemingly harmless appearance of a child predator, while beneath the surface something perverted could be going on.

After hearing of Stephen Collins (the Father in the hit TV show "7th Heaven") alleged confession to a therapist about molesting several children being made public, it raised several disturbing questions.

1. If a molester is going to be outed for confessing, what message is being sent? In the overall picture of things, do we want molesters to seek help, or go as far underground as possible? And secrecy is the exact environment for such vices to flourish in.

2. We always act shocked and flabbergasted when a face is named as a molester. What did we expect a molester to look like? A vampire? A zombie dripping with blood? A one eyed bandit? Of course not. A molester is usually a very endearing and welcoming person, one that is lovable. How else can he endear himself to kids innocently?

3. There is going to have to be a more effective way of addressing molestation. To take pitch forks and run after a molester obviously isnt working. Maybe having programs in place to address molestation without the fear of punishment. Why? Because a teenager who may have such tendencies may be coaxed to come forward, and have this issue addressed without consequences, rather than hide in the shadows nurturing this issue until it blows up into a full fledged predator stalking kids and preying on them.

Child predators are rampant all over the world, and most victims never really come out and cry wolf. They suck it up, and learn to live with their fractured psyche and foundation, while the general population continues believing that the best way to deal with this is to create an atmosphere where predators do not seek help.
