INTEGRITY

INTEGRITY

According to the dictionary definition, it is honesty and being morally upright.
I noticed this seems to be a word that we church folks love to throw around so easily. We use it to point against people who make mistakes as if they have no integrity. By our church discriminating mindset, King David of the bible would sorely have never measured up. Yet the testimony of God regarding him was "a man after my own heart".
Jesus mentioned two folks praying: one said he had no sin issues and was redeemed unlike the despicable sinner over there! The other one prayed admitting his need for divine help and mercy. Jesus said the latter was the more acceptable prayer. But to us, the former would be the man of integrity.
At this stage in our life, we ought to be past looking at the struggling to put them down for not measuring up. Because Covid-19 showed us that NO ONE in the entire planet was worthy enough to be a Noah, a Joseph, an Elijah, a Moses or an Abraham! We have great integrity in collecting tithes and offerings and dwelling in honor and accolades, but ZERO integrity in hearing from God about a pandemic about to hit the planet! That should be a concern! Not one person or great Bishop was positioned to hear from God! Yet we know God changes not. If He revealed His plans to folks in the past, He would do it now.
Just maybe we all need to acknowledge that we are deficient in operating in God like the patriarchs did, and measuring up to some virtual standard of integrity is a facade.
