In Memory of my Father - Prof Akponwei

Dear Prof Akponwei, this pic is the last time I saw you. And it was the first time I shared my heart with you. It is a memorial in my mind of when we became one. No topic of conversation was off the table, and I asked the hard questions, and you answered them all. We talked and prayed, knowing you were in transit out of here. We joked about death, and you making a balloon sail across the sky to let me know you made it through the Pearly Gates.

And then you laid your hands on me and pronounced The Blessing over me. I remembered Jacob in the bible at his death bed laying his hands on his grand children imparting The Blessing. I humbly received every blessing. I knelt down as me, and I rose up as your son. I am Prof Akponwei Jr and I am a Royalty - a Prince of Angiama!
